Tottenham new manager latest: Big Andoni Iraola update emerges on Sunday
Andoni Iraola has been linked with a switch to Tottenham after an excellent season in charge of Bournemouth.
The Spaniard has overseen a largely positive season with the Cherries, which sees them firmly in the hunt for a spot in European football.
This hasn’t been the case in North London, as the Lilywhites have had a campaign to forget under Ange Postecoglou as they sit 15th in the table.
This could see the head coach at the Vitality be considered in N17 as the summer transfer window looms.

Bourneouth boss Iraola on Tottenham radar
There is no doubt that the feeling around the Australian head coach among Spurs fans is growing increasingly negative.
This can’t come as a surprise given the lack of positivity surrounding the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after three defeats in the last five Premier League outings.
Date | Opponent | Result | |
06/04/24 | Southampton | (H) | 3-1 |
03/04/25 | Chelsea | (A) | 1-0 |
16/04/25 | Fulham | (A) | 2-0 |
09/03/25 | Bournemouth | (H) | 2-2 |
26/02/25 | Manchester City | (H) | 0-1 |
If that level of form is to continue under the former Celtic boss, there is every chance that Daniel Levy looks to pull the sack trigger at the end of the campaign.
This has been echoed by the Sunday People, who reported on 13 April (page 52) that there are doubts over Postecoglou’s future in North London.
This comes alongside the reveal that Iraola is on Spurs’ radar ahead of the summer after what has been an excellent spell on the south coast.
The Cherries appear to be braced for change at the Vitality as the likes of Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Antoine Semenyo continue to be linked with an exit alongside their manager.

Postecoglou on thin ice as Iraola update emerges
There is no doubt that the Australian is already in trouble in N17 but won’t be helped by incoming manager rumours ahead of the season’s end.
Things could all come crashing down for the 59-year-old if his side falls to Europa League defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday (17 April).
The Lilywhites go into the second leg level at 1-1 and will be in need of a win to earn a spot in the semi final.
If Postecoglou is to take charge of yet another defeat, it could prove to be the end of the line, which could see Spurs’ interest in Iraola step up.
There is no doubt that the former Rayo Vallecano boss would be a popular appointment, it would all depend on his willingness to leave the Cherries after such a positive season.
