Tottenham make official Son Heung-min announcement
Tottenham have made a brand new announcement about Son Heung-min after a largely disappointing season for the South Korean.
Ange Postecoglou is facing an uncertain future in North London due to Spurs’ poor form this season.
Despite scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in the Premier League, Son’s overall performances haven’t been up to his usual standards, and the 32-year-old’s disappointing displays could get Postecoglou sacked.
Son hasn’t always started in recent weeks, and the forward’s recent comments about his lack of playing time aren’t likely to have gone down well with Postecoglou.
However, amid all these issues, a bit of positivity has emerged.

Son awarded despite disappointing season for Tottenham
There is the possibility that Son could leave Tottenham at the end of the season.
It is hard to dispute that the Spurs captain is a club legend, although it appears as though his best days might be behind him, which could open the door for a potential exit from North London.
However, despite his declining form, Son is still a leading figure for the South Korea national team and was recently awarded by his nation.
As announced by Spurs via their official Instagram account on Monday (31 March), Son was recently named Player of the Year at the 2024 Korean Football Awards.
Meanwhile, fellow Tottenham star Yang Min-hyeok – who is currently on loan in the Championship with Queens Park Rangers – was named Young Player of the Year at the same awards.
Son needs to step up at Tottenham
For all of his struggles this season, Son still has the chance to end the season on a high by lifting his first trophy with Tottenham as captain of the club.
While they haven’t been at their best, Spurs are in the last eight of the UEFA Europa League and will be fully focused on winning the competition and ending their 17-year trophy drought.

However, if they are to do that, Son needs to step up, something which he should hopefully have the confidence to do after this recent recognition.
