Tottenham make official announcement ahead of Manchester City match
Tottenham have put out an announcement on their official website ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
Spurs host Man City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 26 February aiming to maintain their impressive league form.
While Ange Postecoglou’s men may have been eliminated from the EFL Cup and FA Cup in quick succession earlier this month, they have quietly improved in the league.
Tottenham have moved up to 13th in the Premier League after beating Brentford, Manchester United and Ipswich Town in their past three matches.
Next up is a showdown with a team that have badly lost their mojo this season, albeit a Man City side still crammed full of talent.

Tottenham back campaign for Man City game
Postecoglou will of course be desperate for Tottenham to overcome Man City and maintain their charge up the Premier League.
The game is a sell-out and the atmosphere will no doubt be superb, with this the nominated fixture for the Football vs Homophobia campaign.
As outlined by Tottenham on the club website [26 February], the global campaign is one that aims to end discrimination and prejudice towards the LGBTQI+ community in football.
The campaign is marking its 16th year in February 2025 and is one that – thankfully – the vast majority of Spurs fans can get behind.
“We are proud to be supporting Football vs Homophobia’s month of action at tonight’s Premier League match against Manchester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium,” the Tottenham announcement read.

Tottenham record vs Man City
Tottenham fans will get behind this particular campaign, with every home fan inside the stadium ultimately there wanting the same thing – all three points.
Spurs are aiming to complete a league double over Man City for the first time since 2021-22, having won the reverse fixture 4-0. They last achieved that without conceding in 2009-10.
Fixture | Result |
Spurs v Man City (EFL Cup, 30 October) | W 2-1 |
Man City v Spurs (PL, 23 November) | W 4-0 |
Tottenham have already beaten City twice this season, in fact, having also prevailed 2-1 in the EFL Cup.
The last team to win three games in a campaign against the reigning English champions were Manchester United, doing so against Manchester City in 2019-20.
City may have won 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in this corresponding fixture last season, but that came after a run of four successive Premier League losses at this ground.
