Tottenham leak: ‘Agent involved’ after shock Ange Postecoglou claim
Ange Postecoglou will undoubtedly be furious at Tottenham after identifying a leak in the Premier League outfit’s dressing room.
The Australian manager has already had to deal with a difficult campaign and now has to worry about things being reported in the press.
Wilson Odobert’s injury at Spurs came as a significant blow for them after he complained of tightness in his hamstrings.
Postecoglou believes someone in N17 was responsible for leaking the news about the 20-year-old’s fitness issue just before kick-off against Eintracht Frankfurt at home on 10 April, and now it’s been suggested that an agent may have been involved.

Tottenham leak likely coming from a player’s agent
Steve Sidwell believes an agent is likely involved in leaking information out of the North London outfit.
The former English midfielder feels a Spurs player may not be directly involved in providing information to the media; instead, it could potentially have come through someone’s representative.

Sidwell thinks that a star who’s not part of Postecoglou’s plans and frustrated at the Lilywhites could possibly have spoken to their agent, who has then leaked things to the press.
Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast (18 April), the former Aston Villa ace said: “I’d be shocked. I think we’re both 99 per cent certain it’s not coming direct from a player to wherever it’s going to.
“And more often than not, it’s from a player that’s probably not in the squad, maybe fell out with the manager, doesn’t see a future and sat down with his father or agent. And that agent then easily could’ve spoken with someone in the press. And before you know it, it all gets blown up into a story.”
Postecoglou has other things to worry about at Spurs
Postecoglou should be worrying about his future at Spurs rather than a potential leak in the dressing room.
While the Australian manager has bought himself some time after beating Frankfurt in the Europa League quarter-finals, failure to win the competition may lead to his sacking.
The former Celtic boss has endured an abysmally poor Premier League campaign as the North London outfit sit near the bottom of the table.
Tottenham fans are rightfully aggrieved with Postecoglou after the performances they’ve had to endure this season.
The Lilywhites seem to have no alternative plan apart from playing a high line, with little focus on their defensive structure.
Spurs have conceded 49 goals in the English top flight in the current campaign, which can’t be deemed acceptable for a team hoping to qualify for the Champions League.
The former Celtic boss has failed to make progress on the work he did at the North London outfit last season, and his tenure may soon come to an end.
Instead of focusing on minor things like leaks, Postecoglou should have his sights set on Europa League triumph.
