Tottenham ‘hold internal talks over Klopp appointment’ amid Postecoglou quit twist

Tottenham supporters have every right to get excited amid the latest update regarding the managerial situation.

Ange Postecoglou remains in charge of Tottenham and that may just stay the case should the Australian guide his side to Europa League glory.

However, it has been widely reported that Postecoglou will leave Tottenham at the end of the season regardless of what pans out over the next month or so.

And a new update suggests Jurgen Klopp, who guided Liverpool to Premier League and Champions League success, is being considered by the Lilywhites.

Daniel Levy plans bold new Tottenham hire

If Daniel Levy decides to twist and replace Postecoglou with someone else, it goes without saying he needs to get the appointment spot on.

According to GiveMeSport (24 April), internal talks have now been held at Tottenham over potentially appointing Klopp.

Spurs are also said to have discussed appointing Carlos Ancelotti, who looks set to leave Real Madrid in the coming weeks, and also Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso.

All three of those names will get Spurs fans excited, with the report stating that Levy plans to make a bold next appointment.

However, persuading any of those three names to take over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will not be easy.

Postecoglou could leave Tottenham by mutual consent

Interestingly, the report also adds that Postecoglou could yet agree to leave Tottenham by mutual consent.

It has been widely considered Postecoglou would simply be sacked, but this development suggests the club and the manager could mutually shake hands and go their separate ways.

Whether he is sacked or walks on his own accord, Tottenham need to make sure they are already making plans for the next hire.

Klopp, Ancelotti and Alonso are each top managers in their own right, and all three would do a wonderful job in North London.

For now, though, Tottenham fans simply need to get behind Postecoglou and hope that he gets Spurs over the line in the Europa League.
