Tottenham handed major boost to seal Rayane Bounida January transfer

Tottenham appear to have been handed a major boost in securing the services of Ajax attacking midfielder Rayane Bounida.

Het Parool reported on 19 December that Spurs’ technical director Johan Lange watched the 18-year-old in action against the club’s youth team.

Now, with Bounida’s contract running out at the end of the season, he has refused to confirm that he will stay at the club.

Via Voetbal Primeur, he said: “My management is now busy with the club. I’ll leave it at that. With Ajax, I meant. But I’ll leave it at that.”

Ajax will need to act on Rayane Bounida soon amid Tottenham links

A player who would’ve wanted to stay at the club may have stated that he’s happy to be there and everything is heading in the right direction.

Ajax will be aware that the Belgian midfielder is free to discuss a pre-contract arrangement with a club outside the Netherlands from this month.

Given his potential, the last thing they would want is for him to part ways with the club on a free transfer.

Rayane Bounida will be a good long-term option for Tottenham

Spurs should consider signing Bounida due to his promising potential as a young attacking midfielder.

At 18, he’s already shown significant skill playing for Ajax’s youth team, attracting interest from top European clubs.

His signing would align with Spurs’ strategy of investing in young talents who can develop and contribute long-term.

With the right guidance, Bounida could become a key player for the North London outfit, enhancing their midfield creativity and depth.
