Tottenham fixtures changed for April as full details shared
Tottenham Hotspur’s April schedule at age-grade level has been altered little over a month ahead of schedule with two upcoming matches affected.
Given the number of matches Spurs tend to play throughout a single season at all levels, fixture changes and kick-off times moving have become par for the course at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ange Postecoglou’s first team, for example, have had to play at least two matches every seven days for the vast majority of this season, across the Premier League, Europa League and domestic cup ties.
As a result, and given the free-flowing style of football Postecoglou has helped to implement throughout the club, Tottenham are often one of the first teams picked for rescheduled matches in prime TV slots.

Tottenham confirm new fixture changes at Hotspur Way
Though Tottenham‘s first team have become more than used to their regular league fixtures being re-jigged for broadcasting purposes or to accommodate other competitions, their academy is less so.
They’ll have to get used to it, though, after Tottenham confirmed via their website on 4 March that two of their upcoming Under-18s matches in April against Arsenal and Aston Villa have both been rescheduled.
Position | Team | Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | GD | Points |
5 | Aston Villa Under-18s | 14 | 8 | 1 | 5 | 4 | 25 |
6 | Tottenham Under-18s | 15 | 6 | 4 | 5 | 4 | 22 |
7 | Brighton Under-18s | 17 | 6 | 4 | 7 | 3 | 22 |
8 | Arsenal Under-18s | 13 | 5 | 4 | 4 | 3 | 19 |
Last month’s postponed Under-18s Premier League game against Villa will now be played at 12pm on Saturday 19 April at Hotspur Way, resulting in another potential fixture clash with their North London rivals.
However, that day’s initially-scheduled clash with the Gunners at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground is now set to take place three days later, at 11am on Tuesday 22 April.

Tottenham fixture changes take shine off North London derby
While Tottenham’s Under-18s stars will relish the chance to play two matches in four days against fellow high-class academy opposition, they’ll be disappointed at how the rescheduling has been handled.
Moving that Saturday’s North London Derby – albeit one which won’t have the atmosphere of the Emirates or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium behind them – to a Tuesday morning is far from ideal.
That Tuesday date arguably puts the fixture out of sight and out of mind, rather than holding the fixture on a Saturday afternoon, a day in which neither Arsenal nor Spurs’ first-team sides are in action.
Though Arsenal would be keen to avoid fans venturing onto their training ground to watch an Under-18s fixture, the match would still likely garner plenty of media attention – were it not being shunted to a Tuesday morning timeslot that will effectively put a North London derby behind closed doors.
