Tottenham final Premier League position predicted by supercomputer

Tottenham appear on course to end the campaign with no silverware or European qualification.

Just the Europa League remains for Tottenham if they are to achieve any form of success this season, although given the wretched form on display throughout the season, even that appears unlikely.

Tottenham’s FA Cup exit to Aston Villa marked the end of any hopes they had of domestic cup success, leaving them with just dignity to play for in the Premier League.

Although they may be remarkably minimal, Tottenham still have to keep one eye on the relegation fight if this form is to continue.

Premier League table predicted by supercomputer

As of the latest Opta Analyst predictions, Tottenham are forecasted to finish miserably down in 14th, 18 points above the drop zone, which is occupied by the three sides who achieved promotion last campaign.

Unsurprisingly, Spurs have just a 0.03 per cent chance of achieving European qualification, compared to a 0.09 per cent chance of dropping down into the Championship.

While the latter is almost certainly not going to happen, it is a showcase of how poor Tottenham have been this season that it is even in the conversation.

Spurs are predicted to pick up 46 points come the end of the campaign, just 19 more than they currently have, with 14 games still to play.

Tottenham need a rebuild in the summer

Ange Postecoglou, Daniel Levy and the entire squad have all played their part in what has been a massive failure of a season. However, only two of those factors are likely to change in the summer.

Levy, unless something drastic happens, will not be going anywhere but the future of Postecoglou is looking incredibly dull and it would be a huge shock if he were to remain in charge until the end of the season, never mind beyond that.

As for the squad, some big investment is needed in the summer to address some of the glaring weaknesses in the team that have played their part in the regression of the club.

If the right decisions are not made by those of authority, very little will change for Tottenham next season and that simply cannot be allowed to happen.
