Tottenham fans will be furious with what Thomas Frank said about Arsenal before sack
Thomas Frank has finally been sacked by Tottenham after less than eight months in charge.
Frank was dismissed on Wednesday morning, less than 24 hours after Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United in the Premier League.
It was a result which leaves the North London side 16th in the Premier League, just five points clear of the relegation zone, and was ultimately the final nail in the coffin for the Dane.
Tottenham supporters had grown increasingly frustrated with Frank over the last few months, and a new revelation will do little to change their opinion of the former Spurs boss.
Tottenham players got sick of Thomas Frank’s Arsenal obsession
Frank angered Tottenham fans when he was pictured holding an Arsenal cup ahead of their 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth at the start of January.
While that was far from the only reason for the Dane’s poor relationship with supporters, it hardly helped his chances of winning over the Spurs faithful.
However, it seems that the unfortunate cup incident was not the only time that the 52-year-old failed to grasp the North London rivalry.

As reported by The Telegraph, one Tottenham source has revealed that Frank was constantly going on about Arsenal internally, and the players quickly grew sick of it.
Before and after the North London derby at the Emirates, a game that Spurs lost 4-1, Frank consistently reminded his squad just how good the Gunners were.
The feeling among some of the players was that the former Brentford boss should just “shut up about Arsenal”.
Who could replace Thomas Frank at Tottenham?
Mauricio Pochettino is one of the frontrunners to replace Frank in North London, with the Argentine heavily linked with a return to Spurs.
However, Pochettino will not be available until after he leads the USMNT into the 2026 World Cup, which would force Tottenham to appoint an interim manager.
Ryan Mason was sacked by West Brom last month, so he is available to once again take the Spurs job on a temporary basis.
| Manager | Odds |
| Robert De Zerbi | 5/6 |
| John Heitinga | 11/8 |
| Mauricio Pochettino | 6/1 |
| Ruben Amorim | 20/1 |
After Mason’s abysmal tenure at The Hawthorns, though, there is no guarantee that he would keep the North London outfit in the Premier League.
Elsewhere, Ruben Amorim and Roberto De Zerbi are both being linked with the Tottenham job, with the pair out of work and available immediately.
Either way, Spurs fans are furious.
