Tottenham fans go wild after what Ange Postecoglou just said
Ange Postecoglou has already heightened the celebratory mood around Tottenham during their Europa League trophy parade.
The parade (23 May) was a rare joyful occasion for the beleaguered fans as they celebrated their first European trophy in 41 years in front of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
All the woes of the season’s Premier League campaign, which is set to conclude at home against Brighton on Sunday (25 May), dissipated as the team paraded on an open-top bus through the crowds.
They then returned to the stadium, where a stage was open for players to speak to the crowd before Postecoglou stepped in to give a typically rousing speech.

Postecoglou implies he will remain in charge of Spurs
Postecoglou’s future may not be in his hands, but he has made no secret of wanting to stay in North London should he be given the opportunity.
He doubled down on this sentiment with a short speech in front of thousands of fans in attendance for the celebrations, where he first praised the staff and players.
He said, “All of them, heroes. And they did it all for you, because you deserve it and this club deserves it.”
He then concluded: “I’ll leave you with this – all the best television series; season three is better than season two.”
The comment was met by a huge cheer from both the squad and the fans standing on the high street.
The Australian has not always seen eye-to-eye with the fanbase, sometimes clashing with individuals after turgid defeats in the Premier League.
He has also been spiky with members of the media, but this was all in the backdrop on Friday as his bold statement was met with enthusiasm.
Postecoglou must prioritise the Premier League
Tottenham could finish the season as low as 17th, and while the significance of the Europa League trophy dwarfs this awful outcome, it is not sustainable.
Season | Wins | Draws | Losses | Goals For | Goals Against |
24/25 | 11 | 5 | 21 | 63 | 61 |
23/24 | 20 | 6 | 12 | 74 | 61 |
They have regressed in almost every metric from last season, with questions inevitably being thrown at the former Celtic manager’s ability to compete against the highest calibre opposition every week.
They have also steered away from their attack-minded football, alienating fans who were promised an exciting brand of football akin to Tottenham’s principles.
The added strain of Champions League football also awaits, which will excite the club, but they must first prove competent in the league again and not treat it as an extension of training for cup competitions.
A huge summer is ahead.
