Tottenham ‘delighted’ as midfielder officially agrees terms at Hotspur Way

Tottenham look set for a summer of change in midfield, although it appears one player won’t be going anywhere after committing his future to the club.

Spurs have plenty of midfielders on their books in North London.

James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall and even Dejan Kulusevski can operate in a more advanced midfield position, while Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr play further back.

Archie Gray, who has spent much of this season playing across the back-four, is also a midfielder by trade. However, not all of these players are likely to remain with the club next season.

Bentancur is subject to interest from Atletico Madrid, and with one year left on the 27-year-old’s deal this summer, Spurs will have a decision to make.

Meanwhile, Yves Bissouma could quit Tottenham in the summer transfer window, with the Mali international’s contract also set to expire at the end of next season.

However, it looks as though Daniel Levy and Tottenham are already planning for the future after one young midfielder put pen to paper at Hotspur Way.
