Tottenham defender signs extended contract at Hotspur Way
Tottenham are making some important squad decisions amid a summer full of change.
Spurs will look to strengthen their squad in preparation for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The North London club already have some targets in mind, such as Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney, while several players have been linked with exits, such as Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min.
However, while no movements have been made in or out of Hotspur Way as of yet, the Lilywhites are still working to tie down some players already in North London.

Tyrell Ashcroft signs an extended contract at Tottenham
Tottenham recently exercised their option to extend Ben Davies’ deal by another year, keeping him in North London until 2026.
And it has now been reported by Lilywhite Rose on X (9 June) that Tottenham Under-21 right-back Tyrell Ashcroft has signed an extended contract with Spurs.
Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes |
Tyrell Ashcroft | 28 | 1 | 2 | 1.850′ |
The 20-year-old had a difficult start to the season. However, he eventually worked himself up to being a regular for Wayne Burnett’s side.
Ashcroft follows fellow Under-21s star Rio Kyerematen, who signed a contract extension with Tottenham after existing terms were set to expire on 30 June.
Tottenham should loan out Ashcroft next season
Former Tottenham coach Ryan Mason was recently named Head Coach of West Bromwich Albion.
As a result, it has been suggested that Mason could take several young Tottenham players with him to The Hawthorns. This would be a near-perfect opportunity for Ashcroft to grow under a manager who knows what it takes to succeed with Spurs.
Furthermore, playing in the Championship could help the youngster to assimilate into life in the Premier League when the time comes.
With regular playing time in a competitive league and under a manager who is known to develop young talents, Ashcroft could thrive if loaned out. Therefore, Tottenham should consider sending the defender, along with a couple of others, to play under Mason next season.
