Tottenham ‘could snatch Scott Parker’ from Burnley despite promotion
Tottenham are scouring far and wide for their next manager already, but a name much closer to home, in Scott Parker, could be their man.
Spurs are in the midst of a dreadful season filled with injury problems and disappointing performances that have left the Lilywhites 16th in the table.
The continuous poor performances and growing tension amongst the fans have led to the club deciding that Ange Postecoglou doesn’t have a long-term future in the dugout.
While it was previously believed that he would be saved if Spurs won the Europa League, that is expected to no longer be the case.

Instead, Levy has decided to cut ties with Postecoglou, and the Australian coach is set to be at the Lilywhites until the end of this season at best.
Tottenham ready huge Parker appointment
Tottenham are now on the hunt for a new manager to guide the team moving forward, and a surprising name has been added to the shortlist.
Tottenham | Games | W | D | L | GD |
Postecoglou | 70 | 31 | 10 | 30 | +23 |
According to The Sun, Burnley boss Scott Parker is a candidate for the position as senior figures at the club “hugely admire” him and the job he’s done this season.
Burnley have earned promotion to the Premier League this season and are currently in the battle to win the Championship title against Leeds, with Parker making an immediate impact.
Levy is a massive fan of the former Tottenham midfielder, and he is keen to continue building Tottenham’s attacking brand of football with young players, which Parker has done throughout his career.
He is someone who does have Premier League coaching experience due to his stints at Fulham and Bournemouth, but a move to Spurs would be considered a significant step up in his managerial career.

Tottenham also look at Pochettino hire
There are numerous names in the running for the Tottenham job at the moment, with various current Premier League bosses being considered.
Andoni Iraola is believed to be the first choice to take on the role, while Marco Silva and Thomas Frank’s names have been mooted as well.
However, Levy is also considering the possibility of bringing Mauricio Pochettino back to Spurs, which would likely be a popular decision with supporters due to his connection to them.
