Tottenham confirm brand-new coaching update in official statement

Tottenham have confirmed a further advancement in their summer shake-up in an official statement.

The Lilywhites are reported to have finally reached an agreement with Brentford for Justin Cochrane to join Thomas Frank at Tottenham as the Dane’s assistant coach.

The agreement looks to be the final piece of the puzzle in confirming Frank as the new Tottenham manager, and the Lilywhites have now made an official announcement as Spurs supporters await an update.

Tottenham announce the departures of three coaches

The Lilywhites confirmed their decision to sack Ange Postecoglou last week after a disappointing Premier League campaign.

It was then reported that three members of Postecoglou’s coaching staff would also be dismissed, having joined Spurs under the Australian.

And Tottenham have now confirmed in an official statement (12 June) that all three of those coaches will depart the club.

The statement read, ‘We can announce the departures of Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo from their roles as Assistant Coaches.

“We should like to thank them for their contribution to the Club and wish them every success for the future.”

Tottenham need to announce Frank next

Now that the Postecoglou era is over, an announcement needs to be made on Frank soon.

Tottenham have missed out on several signings thus far, due to confusion over who would coach them next.

Potential transfers will want to know who will be in charge before committing to Tottenham, while the next manager will want to be involved in key transfer decisions.

Tottenham will be able to remedy this issue by announcing Frank within the next couple of days.

Additionally, to ensure a successful season, Frank will need to have enough time to plan for future transfers and to make those transfers a reality.

This means that the Lilywhites do not have much time to waste, especially considering they will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season.

This means trusting Frank as well as giving him the time to succeed with Tottenham. This is a new project, and there will be growing pains along the way.

Postecoglou has given Tottenham the perfect springboard by winning the UEFA Europa League, and the club will need to be smart on how they wish to continue his success.
