Tottenham announce last-minute fixture change after international development

Tottenham have been forced to rearrange one of the club’s fixtures at the last-minute as a result of an international development.

Spurs’ first-team have struggled this season.

Frustartion among fans appears to be at an all-time high with a call made for Son Heung-min’s contract to be ripped up after the 2-0 Premier League defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday (16 March).

However, there is still some cause for optimism in North London, with a number of talented young prospects emerging from the academy over the past couple of seasons.

Mikey Moore, who recently sent a message to Ange Postecoglou, is the obvious one. However, there are also plenty of other players shining for Spurs’ Under-18s, who recently had an upcoming fixture resechedueld at the last-minute.

Tottenham Under-18s have fixture rescheduled

Spurs’ Under-18s are performing well this season, with Luca Williams-Barnett shining in North London.

Tynan Thompson is also making an impact for Stuart Lewis’ side, who are currently six points off top place in the Under-18 Premier League South, but with four games in hand.

Spurs are fourth in the standings, two points ahead of London rivals Fulham Under-18s, with the two clubs seeing their upcoming fixture rescheduled in a last-minute move.

Under-18 Premier League South standings as of 18 March

As officially announced by Spurs on Tuesday (18 March), the Under-18 Premier League clash between Tottenham and Fulham at Hotspur Way, which was scheduled for Friday (21 March), will now take place on 29 April.

This is as due to the fact that a number of young Spurs stars are currently away on international duty, which represents just how well the club’s young players are performing.

Tottenham future looks bright

While things might appear negative due to how poorly the senior players at Tottenham are performing, there is reason for fans to be excited about the future in North London.

Tottenham have several talented young players on their hands, and they will be looking to once again make an impact when they finally take on Fulham in the Under-18 Premier League next month.
