Tottenham and Everton increasingly likely to change managers as sack announced
Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have both been drawn further into the spotlight regarding their managers after a Premier League sacking.
Following Julen Lopetegui’s chop by West Ham United, confirmed on Wednesday afternoon (8 January), BetVictor has priced Sean Dyche (evens) and Ange Postecoglou (4/1) as the next two likeliest managers to leave their respective roles.
The Australian has endured a stressful season with Spurs which has shown glimmers of the rewards of his style of play, but also been plagued by injuries, illness bugs and an inconsistent run of form which leaves the club 12th in the Premier League table.
Postecoglou future at Tottenham in doubt
It comes as little surprise that Postecoglou’s odds have shortened alongside those of Everton manager Dyche to be the next after Lopetegui’s dismissal from West Ham.
Having declared how he always wins trophies in the second season of his jobs, Postecoglou will now recognise the stark differences between English football and that of Scotland, Japan and Australia.
In fairness to the Spurs boss, his insistence on playing a certain brand will define how he is perceived in the club’s history long after he has left North London, and he is content with that.

Behind he and Dyche, the next shortest odds on a Premier League manager to be next to leave their post is Leicester City’s Ruud van Nistelrooy at 12/1; the Dutchman has only taken charge of seven games at the King Power Stadium which just outlines the ruthless demands of success.
After Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool, Postecoglou next takes his Tottenham side to non-league Tamworth in the FA Cup third round – an upset would be unthinkable and would provoke total uproar around the fanbase, with a North London derby then approaching.
