Tottenham agree new contract with ‘top prospect’ as official announcement made
Tottenham have agreed a new contract with an exciting talent, days before the summer transfer window opens.
Ange Postecoglou delivered a huge springboard for Tottenham by winning the UEFA Europa League and subsequently securing UEFA Champions League football for next season.
As a result, Spurs will be an attractive destination this summer, and several players are already eyeing a move to North London.
And Spurs supporters will have one more thing to celebrate with the official announcement of a brand new contract agreement at Hotspur Way.
Tynan Thompson signs his first professional contract at Tottenham
Thompson was a top performer for the Under-18s at Tottenham this season.
The 17-year-old joined the Lilywhites in 2024 and made 23 out of a possible 24 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League.

And Tottenham announced on Friday (30 May) that Thompson has signed his first professional contract with the North London club.
Lilywhite Rose took to X (30 May) to congratulate the forward, describing him as a “top prospect”.
Postecoglou should trust young talents for the future
Thompson is just one of many young talents coming through Tottenham’s academy at the moment.
Damola Ajayi and Callum Olusesi both received winners’ medals as Tottenham won the Europa League, with the former on the bench at the Estadio de San Mamés.
Both players have had a successful season for the Under-21s, and the need for a greater challenge became clear to Postecoglou during the season.
Ajayi made an instant impact when he scored on his senior debut in a 3-0 Europa League victory over Elfsborg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (30 January).
Meanwhile, Olusesi made his senior Tottenham debut during Spurs’ 3-2 Europa League victory against Hoffenheim at the PreZero Arena (23 January).
All future winnings at Spurs lie in their young talents, and Postecoglou would be wise to give a couple of them a chance during pre-season, including Thompson after this brand-new contract agreement.
