Tottenham advertise brand-new position after behind-the-scenes change
Tottenham are already advertising for a new position amid major changes behind the scenes.
Ange Postecoglou will be fighting for his job and Spurs’ first trophy in 17 years in the UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).
Postecoglou has had a difficult season, with injuries to a host of key players, and the Australian will be without James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski for that all-important final.
And while Tottenham could still win the Europa League, with the Lilywhites looking likely to finish 17th in the Premier League, changes are on the cards this summer.

Vinai Venkatesham looking for new staff at Tottenham
In the spirit of change, Tottenham may have already made their biggest behind-the-scenes change, with former Arsenal Chief Executive Officer Venkatesham set to begin work as Spurs’ CEO this summer.
The 43-year-old will now be overseeing all major operations at Tottenham that take place both on and off the pitch.
Premier League 2024/25 | MP | W | D | L | Pts |
17. Tottenham | 37 | 11 | 5 | 21 | 38 |
If this appointment is to help guide Tottenham to success and take a little weight off Daniel Levy’s shoulders, Venkatesham will need a strong team behind him, and it seems he is already on the lookout.
Indeed, Venkatesham confirmed via LinkedIn (16 May) that he is on the hunt for a Business Operations Lead to join him and his colleagues to help deliver the Lilywhites’ “key priorities”.

Tottenham need a major overhaul this summer
Whether or not Tottenham win the Europa League, a lot of change is needed at Hotspur Way.
While it is easy to blame Postecoglou for the North London club’s misfortunes these past two seasons, he has not been dealt the best hand.
Spurs sat top of the Premier League table for several weeks when the 59-year-old first arrived, but threw their lead once injuries began to hit.
While it has often been deemed as an excuse, and to some extent, injury has been used to cover the incapabilities of managers, Postecoglou deserves to have a run of games where he can pick on players he trusts.
Thus, even if Postecoglou is to depart this summer, if Tottenham want to compete for all trophies next season, they must replenish their squad.
