Tottenham ace Dominic Solanke reacts as major exit news confirmed
Tottenham players are still unsure of how the squad will look come the end of the summer.
Thomas Frank has officially been in his post for more than two weeks now, but has yet to meet with most of the Tottenham squad as they are yet to return from their break.
Nevertheless, decisions are being made behind the scenes on potential departures, while others are set for crunch talks with the manager.
One player not at risk of leaving is Dominic Solanke, after arriving for a club record fee from Bournemouth last summer, but he has now shared his reaction to confirmed exit news elsewhere.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin confirms Everton departure
Richarlison’s former strike partner, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, has been synonymous with Everton for the best part of a decade since he joined the Toffees from Sheffield United in 2016.
The England international has made 273 appearances for the Blues in that time, though he was limited to just 19 starts last season as injuries hampered the 28-year-old once again.
Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes Played |
2024/25 | 26 | 3 | 2 | 1,613′ |
The striker’s future at Everton was subject to speculation as his contract drew to a close before Calvert-Lewin took to Instagram on Sunday (29 June) to confirm his departure this summer.
The decision and heartfelt message attached to the announcement drew empathy from Solanke, who liked the post within an hour of it being published.
Calvert-Lewin has previously been linked with Spurs, and could grasp Daniel Levy’s attention now that he is a free agent.
Solanke set for new role under Frank
Solanke’s profile as an aggressive, inexhaustible striker was a perfect match for Ange Postecoglou, who brought him in to both lead the line and the press as Spurs looked to play on the front foot.
He found himself all over the pitch, and while the 27-year-old was crucial to Spurs’ play and came up with some big moments in important games, his goal-scoring return suffered as a result of his hybrid role.
Frank, who is a big fan of Solanke, will instil a different style of play, which is likely to see the England international return to a more traditional centre-forward role.
If the Dane’s time at Brentford is anything to go by, Frank will be less committed to pressing and will look to ensure that Solanke spends much more time in the 18-yard box, which should see him presented with far more shooting opportunities.
