Thomas Frank to Crystal Palace odds shift as fans make feelings clear

Thomas Frank could be in line for a quick return to Premier League management after leaving Tottenham earlier this month.

The Dane is the heavy favourite to take over from Oliver Glasner at Selhurst Park, and his odds have dropped yet again over the last 24 hours.

Frank was finally dismissed by Tottenham after the North London side lost 2-1 to Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Igor Tudor has come in as his replacement and will take charge of his first game on Sunday afternoon against arch-rivals Arsenal.

Tensions rising at Crystal Palace as Thomas Frank appointment edges closer

Glasner has already announced that he will be leaving Crystal Palace at the end of the season, when his contract expires.

Following his dismissal from Tottenham, Frank was almost instantly installed as the favourite to replace Glasner, and his odds have now shortened even further.

One bookmaker has the former Brentford boss at 6/4 to be the next Palace manager, after the Eagles could only manage a 1-1 draw with Zrinjski Mostar in the Conference League play-offs.

Ismaila Sarr opened the scoring for the south London side in Bosnia, but Karlo Abramovic’s equaliser left the tie in the balance going into the second leg.

Palace fans turned on Glasner during the game, with chants of “we want Glasner out” aimed at the Austrian manager.

There is now a clear void between the 51-year-old and Eagles fans, which could ultimately see a change in the dugout before the campaign is even over.

Would Thomas Frank succeed at Crystal Palace?

Frank had an awful time at Tottenham, failing to get the supporters onside from the very start, with performances and results not improving as the season went on.

The Dane only managed 13 wins in total across the 38 games he had as Spurs manager, an incredibly poor record.

However, given his impressive tenure at Brentford, helping them up into the Premier League and sustaining them in the top flight, he will still have suitors.

Crystal Palace could prove to be a good opportunity for Frank, and with slightly less pressure on his shoulders, it would be no surprise to see him flourish.
