Thomas Frank shakes hands after Tottenham appointment news, agreement to disappear
Daniel Levy has come under some criticism for his decision to sack Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.
Although the Australian led his side to a 17th-placed finish in the Premier League, having also won the Europa League in his second season, some deemed it harsh.
Therefore, the pressure is on the Spurs chief to get his next appointment spot on, with Thomas Frank named as a favourite in the race so far.

Levy told to pay up for Frank
While many acknowledge that Postecoglou’s efforts were not good enough this season, Levy is seen as the root of the problem by many in North London.
With that in mind, it may not matter who is appointed as boss if Levy is unable to change his ways when it comes to investment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, that may be put to the test right away, with the owner required to cough up if he wants to secure Frank as the new Lilywhites manager.
According to the Daily Star (9 June, page 40), Levy will have to pay Brentford £10million to steal away their manager this summer.
The newspaper states that although the Danish boss shook hands on staying in West London for another year, if Spurs met the clause, that agreement would disappear.
With Brentford in the driving seat, they have no reason to compromise on their demands, meaning Levy will have to be willing to go all out if this is the man he really wants.
Marco Silva is still a consideration, with his buyout clause at £6million instead, however, the Lilywhites are likely to up their pursuit of Frank in the coming days.

Levy has to show a change at Tottenham
Levy won’t be too pleased with the buyout clause Brentford have put on Frank, but the terms are there in black and white that if he wants him, that’s what he has to pay.
Club | Win Rate |
Brentford | 41.64% |
This is a good test of how much the Tottenham chief is really prepared to change things going forward, with this investment set for the manager to take Spurs back into the Champions League.
Levy needs this decision to pay off, too, as if there is no improvement shown on the field next season, supporters will definitely make their voices heard further when it comes to disapproval of their owner.
