Thomas Frank sends text message after Postecoglou sack news at Tottenham
Thomas Frank continues to be linked with Tottenham, ahead of Daniel Levy making a decision on the future of Ange Postecoglou this summer.
Questions have been asked of Postecoglou throughout the campaign, but Levy stuck by the Australian, who delivered the Europa League trophy.
However, after losing 22 Premier League games and finishing 17th in the table, there are doubts over whether the boss has done enough to save his job, with many believing he is all but sacked already.

Frank text messages provide update on future
There is no doubt that it has been a disastrous season for Tottenham, despite ending their trophy drought.
Levy has a difficult decision to make, but cannot afford to get started in the transfer market until he is confident in the direction the club are going to take.
Frank has been linked with a potential vacancy throughout the season, having done an impressive job with Brentford since gaining promotion to the Premier League.
The Bees finished 10th in the Premier League table this season, 18 points ahead of the Lilywhites.
Team | Position | Goal Difference | Points |
Brentford | 10th | 9 | 56 |
Tottenham | 17th | -1 | 38 |
Furthermore, the Danish boss has a good track record when it comes to recruitment, which allows his side to perform as well as profit.
However, Brentford supporter Natalie Sawyer revealed texts exchanged between her and Frank after the final game of the season, which suggests he is happy where he is.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (26 May, 6:56am), Sawyer revealed: “All I’m going to say is, I exchanged a little message with Thomas yesterday and this is what he said.
“I said well done on the season, because it has been a good season.
“He said, enjoy the summer, and soon we go again with a little bee at the end.”
Levy has to be clear on his strategy
Although Postecoglou has delivered what he promised this season, with a trophy being lifted last week, it’s not unfair for the chief to have doubts over his future, given how poor Premier League form has been.
With Champions League football to contest next term, Spurs certainly can’t afford to be anywhere near the levels they performed at this season, and it will be a big transfer window.
However, if Levy is going to make a call to part ways with Postecoglou, surely he has to seek a replacement who has the elite experience to justify the decision.
While Frank has done an impressive job with Brentford, there is no suggestion that he has what it takes to succeed at the top end of the Premier League alongside a European campaign.
The fanbase are divided on Postecoglou, and understandably so, but if the owner wants to see support for his decision, it has to be by making a clear statement of movement.
