Thomas Frank ‘looks tired’ as Tottenham sack looms after what Wayne Rooney noticed
Thomas Frank could have a much-needed rest if he is sacked by Tottenham.
Frank is under massive pressure at Tottenham as results and performances continue to anger those in North London.
That didn’t change as Tottenham lost 2-0 to Manchester United last time around in yet another negative showcase under the Danish head coach.
Cristian Romero’s red card against Man United didn’t help things, but the Lilywhites never looked like getting a result at Old Trafford anyway.
It feels as if Frank is edging closer to the sack at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Wayne Rooney picking out one detail that could prompt an N17 exit.
Wayne Rooney feels sorry for Thomas Frank
Romero’s red card against Man United was just the tip of the iceberg in what has been a shocking campaign for Spurs.
The Argentine international was sent off for the sixth time in his Tottenham career as he made further headlines after his social media comments earlier in the week.
All that has only caused more chaos in North London and has raised tensions between supporters and the current management.
Frank could soon face the axe in N17, and it may prove to be the relief he needs after a massively difficult seven months in charge.
Rooney has picked out the Dane’s struggles on his podcast, The Wayne Rooney Show, suggesting he looks older since taking over the Lilywhites.
The ex-England man said: “All he’s [Romero] done is pile more pressure on Thomas Frank. I feel for him at the minute because he looks tired.
“He looks like he’s aged 10 years at Tottenham, and that’s what the job has done. I hope they stick with him because he’s a fantastic manager, but I think it’s going to be very difficult for him now.“
Tottenham could now sack Frank
There is no getting away from how poor the ex-Brentford boss has been since moving across the capital in the summer.
Positivity has been extremely hard to come by, with the Champions League being the only plus point to an otherwise dreadful campaign.
Things don’t look like getting any easier with the Man United clash making way for clashes against Newcastle and Arsenal.

The defeat away at Old Trafford didn’t come as a surprise, and it is that thought that could end with Frank facing the sack.
For the Lilywhites to go somewhere they haven’t lost in four years and get played off the park sums up this season and could soon end with a new manager.
