Supercomputer shares worrying Tottenham relegation prediction after Newcastle defeat

Tottenham are in the midst of a relegation battle, and now without a manager.

Tottenham fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle on Tuesday night, meaning they are now winless in their last eight under Thomas Frank.

However, that is still not the biggest issue in North London, with Spurs still having won just two Premier League games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season, and now managerless after they sacked Frank.

Unless the next appointment is perfect, things are only going to get worse, and even more so with a fresh relegation prediction made.

Where are Tottenham predicted to finish under Thomas Frank?

It begs belief as to how Frank lasted as long as he did at Tottenham when he has somehow managed to showcase even less than Ange Postecoglou did last season.

The Australian certainly warranted the sack after leading them to a 17th-place finish, but injuries were a genuine excuse for him, and the same cannot be said for Frank.

Heading into the final 12 games of the season, Spurs sit just five points above the drop zone, and have Man United to thank for that gap not being less after their 96th-minute equaliser against West Ham.

However, after yet another home defeat, Tottenham now have a 3.46 per cent chance of relegation, which is only marginally lower than Leeds United, who sit a point above them.

Frank, Spurs record

Via Opta, Spurs are predicted to finish on 44 points, which, if all predictions were to come true, would see them finish 15th, and just eight points above the bottom three come the end of the campaign.

Thomas Frank developments showcase that Spurs have finally found a backbone

If any other big six side were in the situation that Tottenham are in now, their manager would have been sacked a long time ago.

And the only reason that Tottenham failed to do that before now is that they were embarrassed to accept that they made a mistake from a managerial perspective, yet again.

But the reality is that Frank would have got Spurs relegated, and with just 12 games to go, they had no choice but to sack him.

Many will be looking for a long-term change, but as depressing as it sounds, Tottenham need to hire a manager between now and the end of the season who is capable of keeping them up.

Relegation would be a disaster for a club in the same situation as Tottenham are, and yet that is looking like a real possibility.
