Son Heung-min to ‘get Ange Postecoglou sacked’ in Tottenham bombshell
Tottenham players such as Son Heung-min could get Ange Postecoglou sacked, Graeme Souness has warned.
The Scottish legend suggests that the Spurs skipper has his best days behind him now, despite his goal in the 2-1 defeat against Arsenal on 15 January.
Postecoglou is facing calls to be sacked once again after yet another lacklustre north London derby, making it 11 losses out of 21 Premier League games this season.
Writing in the print edition of the Daily Mail Sports (18 January, pg 4), Souness shared some evidence that he had witnessed in recent weeks.
“Ultimately, his squad has good players but not great ones,” he wrote.
“Worryingly, the evidence suggests Son Heung-min’s best days may be behind him. They play in a fashion where if they come up against the better teams, they will invariably get beaten.
“At times, they will have to find a more pragmatic approach against the best teams, or Ange will pay the price.”
Son Heung-min to get Ange Postecoglou sacked at Tottenham
Nobody argues that Postecoglou is facing an injury crisis, but that is in defence.
That negative energy and reaction has pushed itself up the pitch with the final third lacking all signs of life despite having the likes of Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke available.
Spurs have still managed to pick up some massive wins over Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United this season, but the consistency is shocking.

Postecoglou will be tearing his hair out at the results, but he needs to start putting a run together now or he will finally get the sack, something that has been warned for months now.
The manager is holding back in the media, but the threat of losing his dressing room has been suggested and that would be the final straw, surely.
This is one to watch, but if his big-name players like Son do not start to consistently perform, there is no hope for Postecoglou and his future in north London.
