Son Heung-min allays injury concerns as Tottenham forward spotted limping in South Korea win
Son Heung-min has allayed injury concerns after the Tottenham forward was spotted in discomfort while playing in South Korea’s 6-0 thrashing of Vietnam on Tuesday.
Son, 31, scored, supplied an assist and forced an own goal as South Korea stormed to victory in their friendly match in Suwon.
However, video footage has emerged of the Spurs forward limping off at half-time and wincing in pain in the second half.

Despite this, Son completed all 90 minutes against Vietnam and after the game, he suggested that he’ll be fine to play for Tottenham when their Premier League campaign continues on Monday night (23 October) against Fulham.
“Every game is intense,” Son told South Korean broadcaster SPO TV News after the game on Tuesday (17 October).
“If you are not exposed to injuries, you shouldn’t play soccer.
“I hit my thigh slightly in the first half, but it didn’t really bother me.
“Now it’s time to return to my team and stay in good shape.”
Ex-Spurs right-back Alan Hutton told Tottenham News:
“It’s always a risk with any players that play in those positions: ball carriers, people that get into dangerous positions, that can score goals or feed the strikers. There are always going to be bodies flying about,” said Hutton.
“Unfortunately it’s part of the game.
“You don’t want to see anybody get hurt or injured but from time to time it obviously does happen.
“I wouldn’t like to see the team without Son in it. I think he makes them so much better.
“I don’t know who comes in to replace him who’s got that real quality.
“I think that’s the next level moving forward, can they get competition in these areas?
“You just hope – fingers crossed – that he can go out and he can stay healthy because he’s a huge plus for that team.“
