Simon Jordan continues war of words with James Maddison in shock new claim
Simon Jordan and James Maddison went head-to-head after Tottenham secured Europa League glory.
The former England international has faced heavy scrutiny this campaign after a general lack of positive performances at times in N17.
It is fair to say that struggles with injury have had a telling impact, but that hasn’t stopped a fair share of negative press surrounding the 28-year-old in recent weeks.
This saw Maddison clap back after the win in Bilbao, with Jordan continuing to chip away at the attacking midfielder, despite the season now being over.

Jordan fires back at Tottenham ace Maddison
It is fair to say that the Englishman doesn’t care for simply accepting negative comments made in his direction.
This has seen him make comments towards the likes of John Terry and Roy Keane since lifting the Europa League despite not playing against Manchester United.
Arguably, the biggest spat for Maddison came against Jordan as clips of the former Crystal Palace owner were shown to the ex-Norwich City man on talkSPORT.
This actually went down with the 57-year-old, who respected the Spurs man for showing his character and going against the negativity shown towards him.
Despite this, the radio co-host has now once again spoken out about the number 10 in a fresh swipe, which is supposedly tongue-in-cheek.
This has seen Jordan make another jibe towards Maddison in his column with the Daily Mail on Thursday (29 May, page 63).
He said: “Despite the best endeavours of talkSPORT to play only a snippet of what I said, I do like the way he calls out people for their observations.
“However, maybe Spurs were fortunate Maddison wasn’t fit all season as they might have been relegated, like his Leicester team. Tongue firmly in my cheek.”

Maddison should avoid new Tottenham spat
Although showing resistance to negative reviews has been commended by many, continuing could prove to be an issue at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Maddison may not have played in the final, but he certainly played a key role in the rest of the run across the league phase and knockout rounds.
Stat (Europa League 24/25) | James Maddison |
Appearances | 11 |
Goals | 3 |
Assists | 3 |
This saw him help Ange Postecoglou to avoid the sack and ultimately carry his side through to glory for the first time in over 17 years.
Regardless of any criticism, the English midfielder can certainly hold his head high despite a frustrating season from a personal perspective.
