Robbie Williams trolls Arsenal fans at Emirates Stadium with Tottenham jibe

Tottenham ended their 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League this season, and fans have gloated at rivals Arsenal ever since.

Arsenal have now failed to win a trophy in the last five years despite coming second three times in a row, and Tottenham fans have fired back at them after winning a European trophy.

Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal came as a result of the woeful domestic campaign, but Spurs fans will forever remember the night in Bilbao as one of their greatest-ever triumphs.

Tottenham fans have finally got one over Arsenal after a few years of being second-best domestically, and some famous names are getting in on the goading.

Robbie Williams hails Tottenham Europa League victory at Arsenal

Singer Robbie Williams has now chosen which side of the North London divide he prefers, in a concert at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

Williams, who is the president of Port Vale, celebrated Tottenham’s Europa League victory and goaded Arsenal fans in their own ground.

On stage at the Emirates on Friday (6 June), Williams asked the crowd how far Arsenal were from a European trophy, before hilariously answering his own question with “four miles,” following Tottenham’s Europa League success.

Tottenham fans were furious earlier this season when Arsenal’s club anthem was played at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium before a boxing match, but they have now had their revenge through the former Take That singer.

Tottenham to compete in UEFA Super Cup

Tottenham ended this season and Postecoglou’s reign with one European trophy, and will hope that their next manager can make it two to get off to the perfect start.

Spurs will face Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup in August, and while they will be facing the best team in Europe, they will hope to pull off a shock result.

Thomas Frank appears to be the front-runner as Postecoglou’s replacement, and there would be no better way to start his reign by winning another trophy.

The Champions League also awaits Tottenham next season, but they will have to improve if they are to compete well over the course of the campaign.
