Richard Keys wowed by what he has seen about Tottenham and Thomas Frank

Richard Keys has never been one to shy away from giving his opinion and has done exactly that after the latest Tottenham announcement.

After Daniel Levy gave Ange Postecoglou the boot, Thomas Frank quickly emerged as his most likely successor.

Now, his role at Spurs has been sealed after the North London outfit officially announced his appointment as manager.

Reaction on social media has rocketed, and Keys is one of several football figures to react to the news.

Keys reacts to Tottenham manager announcement

Tottenham supporters were quick to react to Postecoglou’s sacking, calling it ‘cowardly’ amongst other words.

However they truly feel, now they must embrace the news that they have a new boss to guide the Lilywhites forward.

Frank has divided opinion, with many questioning whether he has what it takes to manage a bigger club.

However, his record at Brentford speaks for itself, and he has guided the West London club through some of its greatest times.

Now, the Dane embarks on the unknown, but his mission is clear: he must improve Spurs’ Premier League form.

Tottenham recorded the most league losses in their history as they succumbed to a 17th-place finish.

While Frank has his doubters, Keys is clearly a supporter of his and praised the appointment on X (12 June).

He said: “Spurs might just have got it right at last. Thomas Frank is a great appointment.”

Frank the perfect candidate to follow Postecoglou

After the storm that was Postecoglou, Frank feels like the perfect man to sail Spurs through choppy waters.

The Australian got hoisted in by the media, and his mood over his two years declined amid the constant questions around his future.

Frank does not appear to be a man fazed by the media and has shown a great level of maturity in front of the cameras.

Whether that is all for show is unknown, but it is an approach that will help him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Of course, it is results on the pitch that matter, but the Dane has what it takes to be a success.
