Richard Keys sends message to Pedro Porro as he lets rip at Mikel Arteta for Arsenal incident
Tottenham beat Arsenal 1-0 in the first overseas North London derby, and there was plenty of venom between the two sides.
Despite the game being billed as a ‘friendly,’ Tottenham and Arsenal showed as much hatred towards each other as they would have in a league game.
Pape Matar Sarr’s long-range effort sealed the win for Tottenham, in an impressive display overall, while Arsenal will be questioning themselves after a timid display.
Pedro Porro was involved in an incident with Mikel Arteta during the match, and the Spurs defender has now been praised for his part.

Richard Keys slams Arteta and praises Porro
Porro and Arteta were involved in an altercation which Spurs fans loved, as the Arsenal manager came out of his technical area and the right-back attempted to shove him back in.
The Spaniard performed well as Spurs kept a clean sheet against their bitter rivals, and Porro got the best of Gabriel Martinelli.
Tottenham’s natural disdain for the Arsenal manager has increased under Arteta, and many Spurs fans were delighted to see Porro anger him.

Broadcaster Richard Keys shares this view, and he has now heaped praise on the Spurs defender, and slammed Arteta for his touchline antics.
“Well done Pedro Porro,” he posted on X.
“For how long have I been on Arteta’s case? If his team is prepared properly & he trusts them there’s no need for the nonsense on the touch line. Stay in your box man.”
Thomas Frank hoping to beat Arteta again
Although a friendly clash, the 1-0 victory in Hong Kong was Tottenham’s first over Arsenal of any kind since May 2022, when Antonio Conte’s side recorded a crucial 3-0 win in the battle for a top four spot.
New manager Thomas Frank will hope to repeat this result in the league this season to end Tottenham’s barren run in the derby.
Ange Postecoglou failed to win a single fixture against Arsenal, with a draw and three defeats, but Frank may have the key to beating Arteta.
Frank famously beat Arteta’s Arsenal in Brentford’s first Premier League game, while he also recorded two draws at the Emirates Stadium before joining Spurs this summer.
