Real Madrid next manager: Ange Postecoglou shock contender after Tottenham sack news

Ange Postecoglou could be rewarded for his failure at Tottenham with a job at the Los Blancos.

Tottenham sit miserably down in 14th in the Premier League, with much of their regression down to the lack of managerial capabilities of Postecoglou.

His unwillingness to adapt to situations has cost Spurs on countless occasions, while things haven’t really improved as his squad gets back to full fitness.

Given the frailties he has showcased in North London, it would be fair to imagine that clubs would be looking to steer clear of the Australian, though that could be far from the truth after the latest news emerged from Madrid.

Tottenham surely preparing for life without Postecoglou

Europa League success remains a possibility for Tottenham, though it is believed that Postecoglou could still be sacked even if that is to come to fruition.

From then, most of the focus will be on who will replace Postecoglou at Tottenham, though he will be looking for his next move at the same time, which according to the latest odds, could be a big one.

Via BetVictor, Postecoglou is priced at 25/1 to become the new Real Madrid manager, with Carlo Ancelotti expected to depart at the end of the campaign.

Postecoglou has not had a good time with Spurs

As unlikely as it is, his appointment would be a huge shock in North London given the failures he has spearheaded throughout his time at Tottenham.

It seems almost inevitable that Postecoglou will be sacked at Tottenham at some point before the new season, though his next venture would spark plenty of interest.

Postecoglou must be replaced at Tottenham

Whether it comes in the next few weeks or the next few months, Postecoglou is highly unlikely to be in charge of Spurs next season.

However, his sacking will do little if Tottenham aren’t able to replace him with a manager capable of turning the sinking ship around in North London.

Daniel Levy has a crucial role to play this summer, to ensure that Tottenham are able to get back to begin a side capable of competing at the right end of the table and end their 17-year trophy draught.
