Randal Kolo Muani names Arsenal legend in shock admission Tottenham fans will hate

Randal Kolo Muani will want to make a positive impression on Tottenham fans, but may already regret something he has said.

Kolo Muani joined Spurs on deadline day as the Lilywhites rushed to secure proven attacking talent.

Many thought Thomas Frank would start Kolo Muani against Villarreal, but he only played 13 minutes as a late substitute.

Now, the 26-year-old has caused a stir after referencing an ex-Arsenal player during a recent interview.

Randal Kolo Muani namedrops Thierry Henry in Tottenham interview

Kolo Muani made Champions League history on Tuesday by representing a fourth team since the start of the 2022/23 season.

However, the Spurs faithful will be hoping that the France international can make a telling impact in front of goal as the season progresses.

Indeed, if Kolo Muani does flourish for Tottenham this campaign, then they will regret not including a buy option in the loan agreement with PSG.

While the 26-year-old has been trying to impress on the training ground, he has also been introducing himself to supporters off the pitch.

When asked about the first football shirt he ever owned during an interview published on X, Kolo Muani struggled to remember before delivering a disappointing response.

“French shirt, yeah, Henry,” he said on 18 September.

Fans can forgive Randal Kolo Muani if he channels his inner Thierry Henry

The Gunners have been following Tottenham like a bad smell of late, given what unfolded with Eberechi Eze.

However, Kolo Muani can be forgiven for his response, seeing as it was an honest answer; if it had been an Arsenal shirt with Henry on the back, then serious questions would have to be asked.

While Spurs’ new frontman has been unable to cement his name in Paris, he has delivered some outstanding numbers across Europe.

Indeed, there was once a time when many predicted the forward would follow in the footsteps of Henry.

Although it would take some doing for Kolo Muani to earn such a reputation, he has what it takes to make himself a loan star.

First, the 26-year-old must find a way into Frank’s side, which may not be straightforward, given the form of the Lilywhites.

However, if he can bag more than 20 goals in a season, then there could be a new French legend in North London.
