Premier League to make Tottenham announcement within hours

Tottenham are expected to have a little less to worry about when they travel to Norway for their Europa League semi-final return.

The North London club will look to cement a place in the Europa League final after a first-leg 3-1 victory against Bodo/Glimt at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After another disappointment in the 1-1 draw against West Ham, Spurs need a positive performance, as well as a result near the Arctic Circle.

But with Spurs’ season and Ange Postecoglou’s future on the line, Tottenham supporters will expect something big from their club on Thursday (8 May).

Aston Villa v Tottenham verdict revealed

With the Europa League final in Spurs’ sights, the Lilywhites are desperate for silverware.

The upcoming trip to Aston Villa for Tottenham, originally scheduled for 18 May, has been at the forefront of Premier League discussions for days.

Villa, at first, had pushed back against Spurs’ attempts to reschedule the game to a later date as a result of a possible Europa League final.

However, after deliberations, the match looks like it will be moved to 16 May, with a 7:30 pm kick-off.

Matt Law has reported that the Premier League are expected to make an announcement surrounding the upcoming game on Tuesday.

Tottenham hit by crushing injury news

James Maddison is set for a prolonged period on the sidelines after he sustained a knee injury in the first leg of Spurs’ Europa League semi-final tie, possibly missing the rest of the season.

The midfielder has been an important piece of Tottenham’s Europa League charge, placing second in both goals and assists for Spurs during the campaign.

However, Dominic Solanke’s return is a huge boost for Postecoglou’s side, leading the group in goal contributions across the campaign.

In the absence of Spurs’ playmaking maestro, whose technical ability and creativity are a key component of their attacking play, Solanke’s precision will be a welcome addition for a side that may struggle to create in the final third.

The coming days will be important for the London club, supporters and most importantly, Postecoglou, determined to prove himself as the right man to lead Spurs for the foreseeable future.
