Postecoglou sack: Tottenham fans in disbelief as Levy decision made
Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed their bewilderment at the latest twist concerning Ange Postecoglou’s future in North London.
Postecoglou is running out of time to turn things around at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after his side suffered a 15th defeat from just 29 Premier League games this season, losing 2-0 to Fulham on Sunday.
Having gone out of the EFL and FA Cups within a matter of days of each other last month, Tottenham only have the Europa League left to play for this season, and face Eintracht Frankfurt in the last eight.
However, Postecoglou’s side sitting a lowly 14th in the Premier League table is seen as inexcusable in the eyes of many Tottenham fans, and Daniel Levy is coming under scrutiny to make a call on his future.

Daniel Levy to launch Tottenham review amid Postecoglou stance
With Tottenham’s progress in the Europa League being the solitary silver lining in what’s been a below-par season in every other department, Postecoglou’s job appears to be hanging by a thread.
| Name | Games | Won | Drawn | Lost | Scored | Conceded | Win rate |
| Ange Postecoglou | 87 | 42 | 13 | 32 | 164 | 128 | 48.3% |
However, as shared by @Daily_Hotspur on X, Ben Jacobs reported on 17 March that rather than pulling the plug before the end of the season, Levy and Spurs are keen to “make it work” with Postecoglou.
A review over the Australian’s long-term future is set to take place at season’s end, but given the rate at which they’ve regressed this season, Tottenham fans will have hoped for a more pressing decision.

Tottenham fans react to Levy stance – ‘Unbearable’, ‘Don’t get it’
News that Postecoglou will be staying until season’s end no matter what – and potentially even further down the line too – hasn’t gone well with the Lilywhites faithful after a poor season on and off the pitch.
Criticism was led by one supporter who said; “I don’t believe this!”, and reeled off the damning statistics which suggest that Spurs’ players have grown tired of Postecoglou across his two seasons in charge.
Another fan said that Tottenham were “unbearable” to watch this season and they should “get him gone now”, with further fans suggesting that the Australian “has to have dirt on Levy” to have stayed this long.
The theme of “get rid NOW’ continued among the Lilywhites faithful, as fans questioned the level of progress over the last 18 months and stated that “now is the end of the season with him involved”.
I just don’t believe this!

Make what work?
2 seasons!
15 defeats in 29 games
Formation that does not work
Structure that does not work
Players that are sick of his style
Players that are not coached
He has beaten these players into submission with his style !
ENOUGH!!!
We should get him gone now it’s unbearable watching us play

Ange has to have dirt on levy because there’s no way we’re 1 point off 16th talking about making it work

We @SpursOfficial have had over 18 months to review and look where we are?! Low table with no chance of Europe through the league and no chance with him in charge of winning the Europa, get rid NOW
— Alex Scutcher (@AlexScutcher) March 17, 2025
now is the end of the season with him involved.

Can anyone explain to me why Ange has been afforded so much more leeway than say Poch, who had a credit in the bank or Jose or Conte, (appreciate Contes rant got him sacked) I just don’t get it

How is this guy getting more time than a manager who got us to a final and one who had us in 4th just when the season was about to end. Lmao.

Well, I guess I’m just gonna support my club, no use wishing we lose so he gets sacked
I wanted it to work with Ange so bad.

I can only see him staying if he wins the Europa league. (Which I don’t think we will)
I just hope we get the right man for the next project. I don’t think that Iraola but he seems to be the man we are getting.
If they sack him, they will need to cancel their end of season money earner tour in Australia

Further disbelief followed when comparing Postecoglou’s tenure to that of previous Spurs managers; one saying they “just don’t get” why he’s been given more time than Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
The question of “how is this guy getting more time” was also raised to compare Postecoglou’s record with Mauricio Pochettino’s, and another fan stated it’s the Europa League or bust for Spurs this season.
A possible explanation was given by one fan on X though, saying that if Tottenham do part ways with the Australian; “they will need to cancel their end of season money earner tour” taking place Down Under.
