Postecoglou sack ‘could be days away’ after what former Tottenham player’s said
Ange Postecoglou could be out of the Tottenham job by this time next week, according to former Spurs player Darren Bent.
Postecoglou has been under immense pressure at Spurs pretty much all season long in what has been a terrible domestic campaign.
The Europa League remains Tottenham’s only hope at salvaging their 2024-25 season, but Spurs trail AZ Alkmaar 1-0 after Thursday’s (6 March) first leg in the Netherlands.

Darren Bent makes Postecoglou exit claim at Tottenham
Postecoglou may be up for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for February, but that counts for little in the eyes of supporters.
Exiting the EFL Cup and FA Cup in the space of a few days last month was a killer blow, with all the eggs now in one basket.
As Jamie O’Hara recently pointed out, it is Europa League or bust for Tottenham, who have been made the favourites of many to lift the trophy.
However, should they suffer a shock elimination at the hands of AZ, that could spell the end for Postecoglou.

Speaking live on talkSPORT [7 March, 4:11pm], Bent was asked if he could see Postecoglou being sacked if that development plays out in the coming days and said: “Yeah, potentially.”
However, Bent did go on to add that he would personally stick with the Australian for now even if Tottenham do exit the Europa League.
“I still wouldn’t sack him,” he said. “I think at some point you just have to stick with what you’ve got. But I can understand why people are saying that.
“A last chance at silverware and it could go next week. I don’t understand how they’re favourites for the competition. If they go out, what a bad season for Tottenham.”
Postecoglou needs victory against AZ Alkmaar
Bournemouth are next up for Tottenham in the Premier League, but there is no doubt that most of the focus right now is on the return tie with AZ.
If Tottenham lose to Bournemouth but overcome the Dutch side, it will be considered a positive week all things considered.
That is not to say supporters want to lose games, but the Premier League is done. As a reminder, winning the Europa League would end the North London side’s trophy draught and give them entry to the Champions League.
If the unthinkable does happen, though, it would not be at all surprising to see Levy finally pull the trigger on Postecoglou‘s reign.
