Postecoglou sack claim at Tottenham made on Sky Sports ahead of Aston Villa match
Ange Postecoglou is in a precarious situation as Tottenham prepare to face Aston Villa on Friday.
Spurs will lock horns with Unai Emery’s side at Villa Park on 16 May in their penultimate Premier League game of the season.
The trip to Birmingham will also be the final game before the much-awaited UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United at San Mames on Wednesday, 21 May.
This means Postecoglou is just days away from finding out his future in North London.

Kris Boyd delivers Postecoglou sack verdict
It is widely thought that Tottenham will sack Postecoglou regardless of what happens in the final against Manchester United in Bilbao.
Kris Boyd has now echoed that sentiment, claiming that the Greek-Australian manager is just days away from leaving the North London giants.

However, the Sky Sports pundit expressed his sympathy towards the 59-year-old, who he believes has been subjected to unfair treatment at times.
Meanwhile, he believes Ruben Amorim’s job at Manchester United will be safe, regardless of the result on Wednesday.
“I don’t think what happens with United will have an impact on Amorim’s job”, Boyd said on Sky Sports News (15 May, 10:12 am).
“But for me, Ange Postecoglou will go in the summer even if he does win it.
“He’s only human, and some of the criticism that man has had to put up with is way over the top.”

Levy set for double pay-off to Postecoglou at Tottenham
While being fired by Tottenham will be disappointing for Postecoglou, he is in a win-win situation financially.
The former Celtic is in line to receive £2million as a bonus if he leads Spurs to their first European trophy in 41 years, while Levy would have to pay him a compensation fee if he sacks him.
That means Postecoglou stands to pocket a hefty pay-off if he wins or loses against Manchester United next week.
Better yet, he could receive both a bonus and a compensation fee if the Premier League club bring the hammer down on him even if he wins the Europa League as reported.
Postecoglou, though, is said to be not too bothered about the financial implications of winning or losing in the Europa League final.
The manager is determined to keep his promise of winning a trophy with the Lilywhites in his second season in charge of them.
