Pedro Porro slammed as footage emerges from Tottenham v Leicester
Matthew Upson raged at Pedro Porro for shooting from distance instead of crossing when Tottenham were 2-1 down against Leicester.
After taking a first-half lead through Richarlison in their home clash on 26 January, the Foxes flipped the game on its head in the early stages of the second half and held out for three points.
Not long after going a goal down, Porro found himself in an excellent position in the Leicester penalty area, before opting to shoot from an acute angle instead of crossing the ball, infuriating Upson in the progress.
Commentating on the clash via the World Feed [26 January, 15:24], Upson said: “It’s just a really selfish decision after what is a really good piece of skill.
“Lovely footwork, average defending from Leicester but to choose to shoot there when you’ve got players along the line.
“If he just fires that ball across the box, it’s such a nightmare for defenders to deal with.”
Ange Postecoglou cannot be blamed for poor decisions at Tottenham
While Ange Postecoglou certainly has to take plenty of criticism for what has happened at Tottenham this season, he can’t be blamed for some of the poor decisions that occur on the pitch.
Porro’s decision to shoot was a prime example of that and it’s a bizarre one to make when your side is 2-1 down against one of the favourites to be relegated.
These are the kinds of games that, regardless of the injury situation, Tottenham need to be winning comfortably and yet there was nothing comfortable about their performance all game.

You can’t imagine that will be something Postecoglou has had an influence on and small incidents like that are solely on the players who have all played their part in a dismal campaign.
Fortunes do not appear to be changing at Tottenham and if anything, things continue to get worse with their result against the Foxes a showcase of that.
