Paul Merson reacts to ‘Incredible’ Tottenham reveal live on Sky Sports
Paul Merson has revealed which manager he thinks is under the most pressure ahead of Tottenham against Manchester United after what Simon Thomas said live on air.
Tottenham host Manchester United on Sunday with the pressure mounting on both Ange Postecooglou and Rubem Amorim as a result of the dismal season both sides are enduring.
Spurs’ FA Cup exit to Aston Villa piled further misery on Posteocoglou who is arguably under the most pressure to keep his job.
With both sides in dire need of a win to relieve some of the pressure, Merson has given his verdict after an “incredible” Tottenham reveal.
Tottenham need a win v Manchester United
Postecogolou is certainly hanging by a thread at Tottenham, and Merson believes he is the manager under the most pressure ahead of the clash with the Red Devils.
Merson, speaking live on Sky Sports News (15 February, 1:50 pm) said: “Definitely Ange. I mean, even though they have had a lot of injuries, this run has been going on a long time.”
Thomas revealed the “incredible” stat that Tottenham, since 4 December, are on the fourth worst run of form in the Premier League, with only the bottom three below them.
Merson replied: “I can’t feel sorry for the Man United manager, but I can feel sorry for Ange with his injuries.”
Injuries or not, there are very few excuses for the wretched season that Postecoglou has spearheaded, and unless things are to change, his time is running out.

Postecoglou may need a win v Man United
With any chance of domestic success now out of the window, Tottenham are stuck between a rock and a hard place with very little left to play for.
Just the Europa League remains for Tottenham, and given the form they are currently showcasing, it’s hard to see them advancing very far in that competition.
Dignity is just about all that is left to play for Tottenham, with Posteocoglou unlikely to be the man to achieve that given his lack of accountability and unwillingness to adapt to the unfortunate situation he finds himself in regarding the injury crisis.
Should Man United secure three points on Sunday, it is surely time for Daniel Levy to pull the trigger on Postecoglou, and end the nightmare that is ensuing.
