O’Hara names player he’d love at Tottenham after shock on-air reveal
Tottenham need reinforcements this summer, as they look to prepare their squad for Champions League action next season.
First, Daniel Levy has to make a decision over whether it will be Ange Postecoglou in the hot seat going into the new season.
After that, additions must be signed, with a 17th-place finish in the Premier League highlighting how far Spurs have fallen.

Jamie O’Hara urges Tottenham to chase Jack Grealish
He may have led his side to the Europa League trophy, but silverware may not be enough to save Postecoglou this summer.
Premier League form was unacceptable by Tottenham’s standards, and having Champions League football to juggle on top of that next term puts even more pressure on.
Whoever is at the helm will need signings, though, and Jack Grealish is one man who has been linked with a move to North London.
Although he was previously a mainstay in the Manchester City team, the winger has seen his involvement depleting rapidly of late.
Now, with Pep Guardiola having expressed his desire to have a smaller squad, Grealish looks set to make a move away from Manchester this summer.
His lack of game time could make it a risky move, as Jamie O’Hara outlined live on talkSPORT (27 May, 10:11pm) that he has started just seven Premier League games this season.
Jason Cundy was taken aback by the statistic, as he replied: “Seven? Just seven? He’s started just seven? That’s terrible.
“That’s a terrible record, I didn’t think it was as bad as that. He’s just started seven?”
Despite a lack of game time, O’Hara later went on to admit his admiration as he said: “Listen, I’d have him at Tottenham. I love him, I think Jack’s brilliant. I think he’s a good player. I really like him.”
Tottenham should chase Grealish signing
Grealish’s lack of game time at the Etihad this season is staggering, but that should not put sides off making a move this summer.
Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 20 | 1 | 1 |
2023/24 | 20 | 3 | 3 |
2022/23 | 28 | 5 | 5 |
It is not a lack of fitness but rather selection reasons that have kept the winger sidelined this season, meaning there is every chance of a proper revival elsewhere.
The 29-year-old is at the stage in his career where he can no longer spend his time warming the bench, and he will no doubt be eager to prove that in the shirt of another side next season.
Therefore, Tottenham could certainly turn to Grealish and use him to increase the attacking options on the pitch, providing more creativity.
Grealish has won the treble with Manchester City and certainly has the experience required to succeed; he will just need to prove he still has the talent too.
