Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham: This is when Ange Postecoglou will meet Spurs again

Former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been named the new Nottingham Forest boss.

Having made a bold claim that he always won things in his second season, Postecoglou delivered Spurs the Europa League trophy in May.

Postecoglou was then sacked in June as a result of poor performances in the Premier League, as Spurs finished 17th.

Having taken a break from management, Postecoglou has been appointed at Nottingham Forest following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo.

It will be interesting to see when Postecoglou can plot his revenge against Tottenham.

Tottenham’s 2-0 win over City has sparked optimism that Frank could be the man to take Spurs to the next level.

His tactical versatility has been widely praised during his time at Brentford, whilst Postecoglou was criticised last season for not being adaptable at all.

Frank suffered a setback in the 1-0 loss against Bournemouth, but a promising transfer window has fans extremely excited about what’s to come.

Ange Postecoglou has Thomas Frank’s number in past meetings

Whilst it’s perhaps unfair to analyse their managerial records against each other due to Brentford’s spending in comparison to Tottenham’s, Postecoglou is unbeaten in meetings against Thomas Frank.

Frank has drawn one and lost three of his meetings against Postecoglou, with the Dane hoping to end that during their first meeting in December.

Last season saw Brentford finish seven places above Spurs, yet Postecoglou was still able to complete the double over Frank’s Brentford.

With this season’s meetings set to be very different, can Frank finally get a long-awaited win against Postecoglou?
