Mohammed Kudus makes bold claim about what will define Tottenham’s season
Tottenham have started the season well in both the Premier League and Champions League.
Though Thomas Frank will be disappointed not to beat Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday, Spurs still sit on a healthy four points after two games in the competition.
Tottenham have also started well in the Carabao Cup, as a win over Leeds, combined with favourable results elsewhere, could see Tottenham go into the October break sitting second in the Premier League.
Mohammed Kudus joined Tottenham this summer as a marquee signing for Frank.
Fans will be interested to hear his admission on what would make this campaign a successful one, on the back of last season’s Europa League triumph.

‘Winning a trophy would be a successful season’ – Mohammed Kudus
Kudus has impressed for Tottenham, but after nine games, he is desperate to score his first goal.
Regardless, the winger still seems to be full of confidence, and while speaking to Sports Illustrated, Kudus shared insight into what he and Tottenham deem a “successful” season.
“We play in almost all the competitions this season; Premier League, Champions League, all the cups in England, so winning a trophy would be a successful season.
- Tottenham are currently fourth in the Premier League on 11 points
- They play Newcastle at St. James’ Park in the Carabao Cup’s fourth round
- Spurs sit ninth in the Champions League’s 36-team table
“Also finishing top four also is a very reasonable challenge for us this season, qualifying for [the] next Champions League.”

Tottenham’s game against Leeds could favour Kudus, as Leeds will likely not hold back at Elland Road, as space in behind could see him thrive, and potentially net his first goal for the club.
