‘Mikey Moore set to flourish after brand-new Tottenham announcement’
Mikey Moore is set for a huge opportunity next season after a recent Tottenham announcement.
Moore joined Spurs’ academy as a seven-year-old and signed his first professional contract in North London the day after his 17th birthday.
Ange Postecoglou handed the teenager his senior debut in a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last season, with Moore becoming the youngest player to appear for Tottenham in the Premier League.
The forward received plenty more opportunities to feature this season, and it looks as though the upcoming campaign could be his most exciting yet.

Moore could grow with the appointment of Justin Cochrane
Tottenham have announced that Thomas Frank has taken over as Head Coach in North London.
Negotiations sped up after Spurs struck an agreement to bring Frank’s assistant coach Justin Cochrane to Hotspur Way.
Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes |
Mikey Moore | 22 | 3 | 4 | 1.029′ |
This will not be Cochrane’s first time at Tottenham. The 43-year-old began his coaching career with the Lilywhites in their academy department, and has plenty of experience working with young players.
This makes him the perfect person to help Moore continue his growth. It would not come as a surprise if Moore were to be handed a greater role and become a consistent starter by the end of next season.

Frank could be a blessing in disguise for Moore
Moore could blossom under Frank’s guidance next season, as well as Cochrane’s.
The Dane has evolved his tactical approach over the season from a possession-based system to a more pressing-focused one. In the build, Frank likes to overload the midfield so that he has a numerical advantage in the middle of the park to confuse his opponents.
Furthermore, one vital aspect of the build-up is keeping a high backline. Not only does this help in the counterpress as players are positioned closer to the centre, but it shortens the distance between teammates, creating opportunities for quick one-two passes.
This would suit Moore well, who is known both for his close control and ability to cut inside. Spurs’ dominance in the midfield under Frank would provide ample opportunities in front of goal for the youngster to latch onto.
Therefore, along with Cochrane’s experience with young players, Moore could develop at a shockingly fast pace next season.
