Mikey Moore sends three-word message after Tottenham teenager undergoes surgery
Ange Postecoglou has been subjected to plenty of criticism this season, and the injury crisis at Tottenham has not helped.
Tottenham remain 17th in the Premier League after they were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa at Villa Park on Friday (16 May).
Therefore, it is understandable why Postecoglou has faced so much criticism. The Australian still has a chance to silence his critics by ending Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought.
However, the Spurs boss will be without several key players for the UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).

Moore sends message to Maeson King
James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski have already been ruled out of the Europa League final. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether or not Lucas Bergvall will feature in Spain.
In addition, Dane Scarlett recently underwent surgery for a groin issue, and it looks as though Spurs’ injury troubles have now extended to the academy.
Name | Injury | Potential Return Date |
Radu Drăgușin | Knee Injury | 6 December 2025 |
Dejan Kulusevski | Knee Injury | 30 August 2025 |
Dane Scarlett | Groin Injury | 14 July 2025 |
James Maddison | Knee Injury | 23 June 2025 |
Timo Werner | Thigh Injury | 23 June 2025 |
Lucas Bergvall | Foot Injury | 9 June 2025 |
Under-21s defender King confirmed via Instagram on Friday (16 May) that he had undergone a successful surgery.
Among the many comments was Moore, who replied with three simple words: “Back stronger mate.”
Tottenham’s injuries could decide the Europa League final
Pape Matar Sarr has become the latest worry for Tottenham after the 22-year-old went straight down the tunnel with a member of the medical staff after being substituted at Villa Park.
Therefore, with several starting midfield players out for the season and Sarr a doubt for the Europa League final, Postecoglou will be wondering where his creativity will come from in Bilbao.
Maddison and Kulusevski have been Tottenham’s main creative outlets this season, and their absence leaves a void that Postecoglou may struggle to fill.
The obvious choice would be to create from the wings, with Son Heung-min, Spurs’ top assister this season. However, the skipper didn’t look to be at his best against Aston Villa.
This is where the press-resistant nature of Yves Bissouma will truly be put to the test. If Tottenham struggle to progress the ball out wide, the Mali international will need to find an answer in the midfield.
If this means facing Manchester United’s press head-on and carrying the ball through the midfield, then so be it; Tottenham must leave nothing on the pitch at the Estadio de San Mamés.
