Mikel Arteta sack claim made live on air ahead of Arsenal v Tottenham
Alan Brazil has suggested Mikel Arteta may now be under pressure of being sacked by Arsenal ahead of facing Tottenham amid recent managerial changes in the Premier League.
Tottenham travel to Emirates Stadium on Wednesday (15 January) to face an Arsenal side that recently crashed out of the FA Cup at home to Manchester United.
Both Arteta and Ange Postecoglou are under increasing threat to keep their job ahead of the clash, but when asked who is under more pressure, Brazil claimed that he doesn’t want to see another sacking.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [15 January, 6:26am], Brazil said: “We’ve just seen two Premier League managers sacked. You know what it’s like. Once that starts it’s a bit…
“I don’t want to see him sacked. I’d just like to see him getting ahead, changing things slightly.”
Tottenham need to be competitive against Arsenal
Spurs could make a handful of changes against Arsenal but the one thing that remains clear is that they need to show a significant improvement on the performance that was on show against Tamworth.
A failure to do that will inevitably see them on the wrong end of a heavy defeat.

Arsenal have the players to cause serious damage and if Spurs continue their showing from the FA Cup, the Gunners will have a field day. That would undoubtedly ramp up the pressure on Postecoglou.
Both sides have suffered some disappointing results in recent weeks and the two clubs will likely be looking at this clash as the best time to face each other.
