Michel Vorm a massive fan of signing Tottenham have made

Tottenham have not had the season supporters would have hoped for so far, leaving plenty of speculation over the future of Ange Postecoglou.

The Lilywhites find themselves sitting 14th in the Premier League, having won just one of their last five games in the competition ahead of facing Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg.

Therefore, the boss knows that there is plenty of work to be done to bring consistency to North London this term.

Ange Postecoglou needs players to step up for Tottenham

The Lilywhites have been hit by a definite injury crisis this term that has left the Australian manager short of players in plenty of positions.

Although some feel as though this is being used as an excuse by the boss, it has undoubtedly played its part in the struggles at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

One area where Spurs were struck is in goal when Guglielmo Vicario picked up an injury, leaving the boss to look for alternative options.

Antonin Kinsky was brought in at the start of the winter transfer window and has impressed supporters with his performances since his arrival.

The 21-year-old has adapted to life in the Premier League well and his performances have suggested that there are good times ahead.

This has led to former Tottenham goalkeeper Michel Vorm praising the youngster as he told GiveMeSport (6 February): “I like Kinsky. He is a good young goalkeeper and can push Vicario when he returns to the team.

“He looks like a promising signing for the future. He needs to play games to get up to speed with the Premier League.

“It’s tough for Kinsky coming into a team that isn’t winning consistently or playing with huge confidence, but he can look to impose himself as he plays more first-team football.”

Could Antonin Kinsky be long-term Tottenham goalkeeper?

As it stands, Kinsky is showing good signs but with no competition in the side, the youngster also knows his position is safe as he looks to build his confidence one performance at a time.

When Vicario is available again, it will be interesting to see what Postecoglou chooses to do and it could well depend on what the form of the Lilywhites is looking like at the time.

However, the 21-year-old will certainly be feeling positive about the way he has started life at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and comments like these from former Spurs goalkeepers will only serve as motivation to keep on improving.

The boss will be feeling very pleased he has got a long-term goalkeeping option lined up and it certainly gives the side the options going forward which serves well for future motivation in North London.

There is plenty of work and development for the youngster still and he will no doubt be able to learn from the more senior players in the side going forward.

However, it also seems as though he can be a very exciting long-term project for the Australian boss and in years to come, he will surely continue to have his impact on Tottenham.
