Marco Silva development emerges at Tottenham after major Postecoglou sack news
Tottenham are already planning for life after Ange Postecoglou as a result of what has been a dreadful campaign.
Tottenham remain in with a chance of winning the Europa League this season, but that won’t distract many from what has been a nightmare of a season in North London.
After suffering their 17th league defeat of the campaign against Wolves, the spotlight has kept shining on Postecoglou, who will do well to keep deflecting the blame elsewhere.
Andoni Iraola had been one name linked with the job, but the latest update on Silva suggests their attentions are elsewhere.

Tottenham want to appoint Silva
Silva had previously been mooted as a potential replacement for Postecoglou, and according to talkSPORT (15 April), he is now emerging as the frontrunner for the job.
It’s also claimed that Postecoglou will be sacked at Tottenham regardless of the success they can find via the Europa League.
Premier League | Games | W | D | L | GD |
Silva | 203 | 73 | 43 | 87 | -30 |
Silva is said to have an £8million release clause in his contract at Craven Cottage, which has also caught the attention of Italian giants Juventus, with him “not in any rush” to sign a new deal with Fulham.
Any decision may have to wait until the summer, though one thing that seems certain is that Postecoglou will be leaving Spurs.

Postecoglou isn’t the only one to blame for Tottenham failure
While Postecoglou will shoulder the majority of the blame in typical manager fashion, many other concerns will need addressing this summer.
Recruitment will be a big one for Tottenham, and if they don’t get that aspect right, it becomes largely irrelevant who takes over next season.
Spurs have lacked quality throughout the current campaign, and that will need to be rectified by Daniel Levy if they are to start progressing both on and off the pitch.
Focus for now will be on their upcoming Europa League clash with Frankfurt, but attention will swiftly turn to the key decisions that are needed in North London this summer.
