Man United next manager: Odds slashed on ex-Tottenham man’s arrival at Old Trafford
Manchester United endured a truly dismal season last time out.
The Red Devils laboured to a 15th-placed finish, their lowest ever finish since the Premier League’s inception.
Ruben Amorim’s side had a crucial opportunity to salvage something from their campaign in the Europa League final, but were beaten by Tottenham, who secured Champions League football for next season as a result.
Amorim has come under pressure at Old Trafford as, despite having only taken over back in November, he is yet to oversee even a slight change in his side’s fortunes.

Mauricio Pochettino’s odds slashed for potential Man Utd arrival
Amorim’s struggles since moving to the Premier League have prompted suggestions that he could be replaced, and, as ever with Manchester United, some of the world’s biggest names are being linked.
One of those is former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who could be poised to take over the reins of the 20-time title-winners, if the Portuguese boss does depart in the near future.
Paddy Power have shortened the Argentine’s odds to 6/1 for a return to the Premier League, with the ex-Spurs hero having previously been out at 7/1.
The likes of Oliver Glasner and Gareth Southgate are also in the running, as well as another ex-Tottenham boss, in Jose Mourinho, who could be set for a sensational return to English football.

Pochettino going to United would hurt Tottenham
Pochettino has been linked with a return to the Premier League on several occasions in the last few years, and it would surely sting for Spurs fans if he were to go to United, just as it did when he opted to join Chelsea previously.
The 53-year-old is currently in charge of the USA’s national team, but is still held in extremely high regard at Tottenham for the work that he did with the club.

He led them to their first-ever Champions League final, and also oversaw their highest-ever Premier League finish, when they ended the 2016/17 season as runners-up, having lost just four league games all year.
Links have emerged on numerous occasions touting him for a return to N17, but sadly for Spurs fans, those links have never truly materialised.
It remains to be seen whether their paths will cross again in the future, but for now at least, Tottenham must be hoping that Pochettino doesn’t take charge elsewhere in England once again.
