Kyle Walker-Peters sends message to Solanke amid Tottenham transfer news

Dominic Solanke was the hero as Tottenham reached the UEFA Europa League semi-final by beating Eintracht Frankfurt.

Solanke scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot as Spurs beat Frankfurt 1-0 at Deutsche Bank Park on Thursday (17 April) to book their place in the last four of the Europa League.

James Maddison won the penalty after he was taken out by Frankfurt goalkeeper Kauã Santos, with Jude Bellingham reacting to the midfielder’s message after the victory in Germany.

Solanke has also sent a message to supporters, which Kyle Walker-Peters responded to amid recent Tottenham transfer news.

It hasn’t been the easiest of debut seasons for Solanke, with a potential Tottenham exit even mooted.

However, after his goal against Frankfurt, the striker is likely to be full of confidence and will be keen to fire Tottenham to the Europa League final as the North London club look to save their season, which could impact potential transfer business this summer.

One player who could join the club is Southampton’s Walker-Peters, with Tottenham keen on potentially re-signing the defender [CaughtOffside].

And should Walker-Peters return to Tottenham, it looks as though he would have a friendly face waiting for him in North London. In response to Solanke’s post to Instagram (17 April) after the win against Frankfurt, Walker-Peters commented “Big!” with a starry-eyed emoji.

Solanke could help Walker-Peters settle in at Tottenham

Walker-Peters came through the ranks at Tottenham. Therefore, a return to North London would likely appeal to the full-back, who is unlikely to have many issues settling in at his former club.

However, having Solanke there could help the 28-year-old make his transition that much smoother. The Southampton star features in several posts on Instagram with Solanke, with the two seemingly sharing a close relationship.

Therefore, this could be an easy transfer for Tottenham to seal, especially with Walker-Peters out of contract at Southampton this summer.
