Jason Cundy shares ‘Disgusting’ new Tottenham reveal live on talkSPORT
Tottenham are gearing themselves up for Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final second leg with Eintracht Frankfurt.
After drawing 1-1 with the Bundesliga highfliers in North London on 10 April, Spurs will have to beat Dino Toppmoller’s side on away soil to secure their semi-final spot.
But if Ange Postecoglou can guide Spurs to an unlikely victory on Thursday, it could prove enough to save him from the sack, at least temporarily.
Tottenham’s woeful Premier League campaign took yet another turn for the worse on Sunday, when they were deservedly beaten 4-2 by Wolves.

Goldstein left disgusted by what Jason Cundy told him about Spurs
After their loss at Wolves, Tottenham slipped to 15th in the Premier League table and are just two points above 17th-place West Ham.
Premier League table (14th-17th) | Games played | Goal difference | Points |
14 Manchester United | 32 | -7 | 38 |
15 Tottenham | 32 | 11 | 37 |
16 Wolves | 32 | -14 | 35 |
17 West Ham | 32 | -18 | 35 |
Jason Cundy told Andy Goldstein live on talkSPORT [17 April]: “They (Spurs) could finish 17th.”
Goldstein responded: “That’s disgusting.”
Tottenham must have a successful transfer window
Postecoglou’s Tottenham future remains unclear for now, but the Spurs squad must also hold some accountability for the largely disappointing season the North Londoners have endured.
Regardless of whether Postecoglou stays or leaves, Daniel Levy must steer his club towards a successful summer transfer window and make some positive additions.
The current group of Tottenham players have vastly underperformed, and are all but certain to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League after finishing fifth just last season.
Spurs supporters, therefore, may be buoyed by the news that the North London club are striving to beat Graham Potter’s West Ham to the signature of Lille midfielder Angel Gomes, whose contract with the Ligue 1 side expires this summer.
England international Gomes would add some much-needed quality to Tottenham’s ranks ahead of next season, while Tottenham have also set their sights on out-of-favour Manchester City ace Jack Grealish.
Much more than that will be needed, though, with a huge summer ahead.
