Jamie O’Hara takes swipe at Arsenal in new Tottenham claim after PSG beat Inter

Tottenham Hotspur trumped their neighbours Arsenal by winning a trophy during the 2024/25 season.

Spurs won the Europa League in Bilbao after beating Manchester United 1-0 in the San Mames Stadium.

As for Arsenal, they ended the campaign without silverware, stretching their trophy drought to five years.

After PSG defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League final, Jamie O’Hara aimed a sly dig at his old rivals.

Arsenal’s blushes were spared as PSG thrashed Inter 5-0 to win their first ever Champions League title.

The French outfit were in devastating form, with goals from Achraf Hakimi, Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Senny Mayulu.

As for Inter, they failed to put in a performance on the night and were overburdened by Luis Enrique’s fine attack.

Although the Gunners put in a better showing than Simone Inzaghi’s side, they also fell victim to the Ligue 1 champions.

A close 1-0 defeat at home was followed by a 2-1 defeat in Paris as Arsenal bowed out in the semi-finals.

PSG’s victory means they will face Tottenham in the UEFA Super Cup on 13 August in the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy.

Speaking on his X account, O’Hara said (31 May): “Can’t wait to beat PSG in the super cup, at least one English team will turn up against them,” followed by the clap emoji.

O’Hara likely to eat his words after UEFA Super Cup final

To O’Hara’s credit, nobody can knock his confidence as Spurs go for an unheard-of second trophy in the same year.

The Lilywhites will head into the encounter as overwhelming underdogs after PSG thumped Inter in the Champions League final.

However, Tottenham could be unrecognisable by the time they play the treble winners.

Ange Postecoglou looks like he will not be in the dugout, with Thomas Frank leading the race to replace him.

Furthermore, the North London side are eyeing new signings, as Leroy Sane is linked with Spurs.

Whoever does represent Tottenham would have to produce an almighty performance to win the Super Cup.
